Dr. Kenneth I. Light, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon serving patients at his private practice. He has an office in San Leandro, California.

Dr. Light earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He completed his general surgery internship at the University of California (UC), San Diego, and his residency in general surgery at UC, San Francisco.

Upon graduation, he served as an orthopedic surgery resident at several hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland. He then pursued his fellowship in spinal surgery with Edward H. Simmons, MD, at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

At his practice, Dr. Light offers a variety of services such as spinal fusion, failed low back surgery, disc replacement arthroplasty, and medical legal consultations. He is experienced in treating many conditions, including herniated discs, low back pain, and neck pain.

He is currently the founder of the San Francisco Spine Center and president of the Simmons Surgical Society. In addition, Dr. Light holds hospital affiliations at O'Connor Hospital, Kindred Hospital, and Chapman Hospital in Orange County.

Dr. Light is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the Leroy Abbott Society, Simmons Surgical Society, San Francisco Marin Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.
